Our brand new Higher Business Apprenticeship
You will be based at our manufacturing location at Heyford Park, Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire, from where we export more 90% of our products globally. If you have an interest in the technology behind products and want to gain an understanding how a High Tech business works and what drives the decisions made within the business, then this is the opportunity for you.
During your apprenticeship with us:
You will learn about the processes that need to be completed to make a dynamic exporting manufacturing company work, with hands on experience in all of the main departments of the company including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Production Control, Logistics, Finance, Sales and Marketing. This is a great opportunity to get an overall foundation in all the functions of a company before deciding where is best for you.
You will earn real money from day one with a starting salary of £12,000 per annum, reviewed and increasing at 6 monthly achievement stages, subject to satisfactory performance, with on target earnings expected to reach around £18,000 per annum after 2 years. All formal training will be fully funded and supported by the company.
During the course of your apprenticeship:
You will take part in on the job training, courses and either classroom or e-learning leading to a nationally recognised level 4 (higher) qualification. Typically 1 day per week will be allocated to pure studying. Your Apprenticeship could lead to a permanent site team role or even ultimately to production or engineering management.
5 good GCSEs at A-C, including English, Maths and Science, plus UCAS 120 made up of either a Btec Level 3 National in Business Studies or A Level’s in English or an English based subject (e.g. History), plus 2 other ‘A’ levels (Business Studies and/or a Modern Foreign Language would be an advantage).
A flexible approach and general interest in manufacturing are important and you’ll also need to be a great team player and communicator, with the motivation to get results. If you want real career prospects and education while you earn, then this role is for you.
To apply, please attach your CV and include a brief cover letter detailing why you think you’d be right for a career in business administration.
The deadline for applications is JUNE 30TH, 2014.
CVs should be submitted to David Johnson, firstname.lastname@example.org, with a cc to Adrian Lockwood, email@example.com
An assessment centre will be held at Heyford Park in July 2014.
Start date will be September 2014
