UV LED curing is versatile, vibrant and viable. That was the message spelled out to international professionals attending a virtual overview and predicative of the emergent technology’s escalating use in the graphics and industrial printing markets in the first of a new series of webinars from ITL. In a well-paced, comprehensive presentation, technology expert Paul Mills set out an objective summary of UV LED and its true potentials. Key points highlighted UV LEDs complementing and not replacing all traditional arc technology applications and the technology’s swift transition to greater stability and thereby commercial viability with the requisite intensity now obtained for full cure on specific applications. UV LEDs suitability to […]
UV LED curing solutions as diverse in application as the new markets emerging for their use are a feature of second half year product launches from pioneering UK developer, Integration Technology Ltd (ITL). A major roll-out of ground-breaking UV LED ‘pinning’ systems for wide-format high-speed inkjet printers, static inkjets and other industrial curing applications requiring high intensity UV has been initiated by the Oxfordshire company. The new programme, unveiled at this month’s IMI Ink Jet Technology Showcase in Baltimore, USA, constitutes one of the most significant offers to market to date with a further seven air-cooled and three water-cooled systems to be added to ITL’s existing offerings. The 10 new products […]
Bicester, UK, March 23 2010: A device for the accurate measurement of ultra-violet (UV) LEDs is now available from co-developers Electronic Instrumentation & Technology (EIT) and British UV curing pioneer, Integration Technology Ltd (ITL) www.uvintegration.com Until now, measurement devices have not always provided readings expected of them by users. (Measuring UV LEDs with StandardEquipment for more information). The new UV Power Puck® II sets a new standard the global UV industry with advanced features;easy to read display; multiple user selectable modes and PC communications for data logging and trending capabilities. With user selectable sample rates, this reliable instrument can also be used for fast and slower conveyor lines. Easy to […]
Bicester, UK, March 19 2010: High output, low cost and greater energy-efficiency are key benefits in LEDZero Pincure, the latest advance in integrating solid state UV curing into high-resolution inkjet print engines from the market’s number one innovator, Integration Technology Ltd (ITL). The UK-based developer’s latest solution can initiate a photochemical reaction with a degree of precision not previously possible with bulb technology. Being air cooled, LED Pincure is more energy efficient than water-cooled alternatives. Its UV LED lamp head and power supply uses as little as 16W of electrical energy and at 125g reduces extra weight to printing carriages. Its standard 80mm curing array is scalable by multiples of […]
Short run printing of spot UV varnish over matt laminated film is being demonstrated at Ipex 2010 by Autobond in a ground-breaking process incorporating LED curing from Integration Technology Ltd (ITL). In a move that that could have implications ‘far beyond the laminating process’, Autobond aims to show its new Mini 36 TPM-SUV sheet-fed laminator inkjet-print a spot UV, LED curable varnish in-line on top of matt film. Autobond is exhibiting on Stands 19 D780 and 19 D790 at Ipex 2010 at NEC Birmingham, UK, May 18-25. “Around ninety five per cent of all spot UV varnish goes on top of matt film but it’s normally done on traditional screen […]
A metaphor for how small can be beautiful was exemplified to visitors to June’s DRUPA global printing industry event in Dusseldorf June when Integration Technology Ltd (ITL) showed its new miniature high output UV LED Solidcure curing solution for inkjet printer applications. Held every four years, DRUPA is the shop window for new concepts in printing applications. With its compact size and ultra-light weight, yet high intensity output, SolidcureTM was a quick draw to the ITL stand. Commenting after the show, ITL managing director Adrian Lockwood said: “Visitors were impressed by the output to size ratio of this latest solution. “Additional factors such as the product’s scalability to suit a […]
The world’s first entirely digital print exhibition took place in Amsterdam from 16th – 18th May 2006.The hugely successful show with over 12,000 visitors launched Integration Technology’s high power 2 W/cm LED system and the 65 millisecond SubZero shutter. The two new systems created great interest and the Integration Technology stand was crowded with visitors. The sales team achieved an impressive number of orders over the 3 day exhibition.
